HIFU Sydney - New & Latest Option in the Treatment of Prostate Cancer

High Intensity Focused Ultrasound (HIFU) represents the next generation of non-invasive treatments for early prostate cancer. Currently in use in Europe, Canada,
Japan, China, South America and more recently in Australia, in carefully selected patients with localised prostate cancer, this treatment has been shown to be effective with long term results that compare favourably with alternative treatment methods.

Alistair Cameron-Strange (MbChB, FRCSEd, FRACS) is a Consultant Urologist at The Prince of Wales and The Prince of Wales Private Hospitals in Sydney with more than 20 years experience in treating prostate cancer.

Dr Hodo Haxhimolla (MBBS, FRACS) is a Consultant Urologist at The National Capital Private Hospital and The Canberra Hospital in Canberra. He is also a Lecturer at The Australian National University in Canberra.

Dr Cameron-Strange and Dr Hodo Haxhimolla were personally trained in HIFU by Dr Toyoaki Uchida in Tokyo, and are now offering HIFU to selected patients.

All HIFU treatments are performed at The Prince of Wales Private Hospital.
